It all starts with a simple idea…

Farwest and more.....

What is it? The Farwest show is mostly for nursery & landscape professionals. It shows all the new plant varieties and products in the industry. I like to show/tease people with the new plants because they are so fun and give people and chance to hope for new things in their gardens. Included are some pics of what was there this year and a link to the web site for you to look at more. Also included are some links to other places to help your garden. Cick buttons and Enjoy.

For the Soils...

Free Bark chip drop

A recent seminar promoted the use of wood chips for the garden. I asked the question about my blueberries having trouble and was told to soil test first and that adding wood chips are the best organic material to use for enriching the soil and keeping weeds down. Especially good for helping blueberries and all garden beds for that matter….. and you can often get them for free. However, not for everyone as you will see in their descriptions and video. Follow the links below to see if you want to try this out.

Soil testing

Sometimes your yard is just having trouble and you can’t figure out why. I replaced a lawn that was dying even after home owner reseeding. What was going on? Well a soil test reveled several things. This was an important first step before deciding to replace the lawn and what to do first. When trees or plants die or have trouble growing in certain areas, soil testing will reveal the problem.
